Bedhead Hats is a family run business based on the NSW Central Coast - 100% Aussie owned. Bedhead Hats take great pride in creating a range of hats that make sun safety more comfortable for babies & children! Teaching children to wear hats can be a trying time for parents.
Bedhead makes this life skill easier to learn. With hats small enough to fit newborns from the day they leave hospital, it is never too early to start. Familiarising a baby with the sensation of wearing a hat, especially with a brim is the key to raising a toddler that searches for their hat to wear before going outdoors
Beanie Circumference for fleece beanies.

• Beanie Circumference 42cm / XS / 3-6 months
• Beanie Circumference 47cm / S / 6-12 months
• Beanie Circumference 50cm / M / 1-2 years
• Beanie Circumference 54cm / L / 2-4 years

Step 1: Distract the child with a toy or food (so they don't try to help you!).
Step 2: Use a measuring tape to take the measurement. Otherwise, use a ribbon to take the size then use a ruler to find the measurement.
Step 3: Teddy and Fleecy Legionnaire: These hats are mostly true to size so choose a hat with the measurement closest to your child’s head. Just know there is a lot of stretch and they are a bit more of a larger fit than our other collections.
Koala: Due to the extra stretchy nature of the outer and inner fabric on this hat, these are sized quite large. We recommend you size down if your child is on the smaller end of the size range (ie, head measures 53cm, we suggest you get the 52cm rather than the 54cm). The stretch and extra room in the sizing means you can size down quite comfortably.
TIP: It's best for babies to learn to wear hats from birth, before motor skills develop.
